Why To Avoid Overdose of Cider Vinegar:

The cider vinegar is made from apples by fermentation. Though it has several health benefits including better blood circulation, improved heart health, better immunity, obesity, bacterial infection, insulin regulation, weight loss, and many more. It can be used in increasing the taste of foods. It has been a folk remedy for years. To make the vinegar, manufacturers add sugar and yeast in the apple juice. When it gets fermented, it creates alcohol. Now special bacteria convert this alcohol into the acid which is known as acetic acid. It reduces the alcohol amount then apple cider vinegar produces. But research is finding that consuming too much cider vinegar can have several side effects on health.

Side Effects of cider vinegar:

It is not a standard dosage available till now as more research is needed. But it is suggested to take 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar liquid in your lukewarm water. If you take more than it you may experience some side effects including:

  • All vinegars have acidic properties. Consuming too many acidic foods can weaken your tooth enamel that leads to tooth decay. At first you will not realize that but later slowly you will realize the toothache and they are becoming more sensitive to cold and hot temperatures. Eventually, your teeth will end up developing cavities. You have to go to the dentist for a filling. It is better to do regular check ups with a dentist.
  • Blood sugar: It is helpful in regulating the blood sugar level in the body. But research has not found it how? So if you are a diabetic person you must see the doctor before taking apple cider vinegar. So, you have to take care of the dose. One study found that taking 20 grams of apple cider vinegar with 40 gram water with one teaspoon of sweetener before eating food has increased blood sugar level in diabetic patients. So, it is always better when you are taking the ACV as a medicine.
  • Skin burns: For skin beauty or removing moles, many people you vinegar directly to the face. But as it has acidic properties, you can experience burns, irritations, if you directly apply it to the face. So, consult the dermatologist before using it on face or skin.
  • Skin Irritation: Your dermatologists usually tell you to avoid the ACV on the skin. People may have the irritation of using it. People should apply on the small area of skin first to see the allergic reactions. Or they should use it with oil or water before applying to the face.
    Only after confirming the skin reaction, you need to apply it on your sensitive skin. If you see any adverse reaction, don’t apply the cider vinegar.

There are many health benefits of using apple cider vinegar including regulation of blood glucose, insulin levels, treating PCOS, weight loss, and many more. But these side effects are not negligible. So before using the cider vinegar, keep all these side effects in mind and consult the doctor before using it.
